You can build memes
Building simple ideas to practise getting distribution
So memes are great right. Some of them are funny, some of them work better than words.
Everyone loves em.
Whats interesting about memes is their distribution. One person creates a template, and others fill it with meaning that resonates with their sub-group and audience.
This distribution is incredibly powerful. It is essentially pure organic marketing. It is viral. It passes from one person to the next rapidly.
Builders in crypto should STUDY this.
You can harness memetics to distribute your product and even create mini ideas specifically for viral distribution.
Let me explain:
Instead of building a charting tool that pulls ALL the data and shows the gains EVERY coin made for the day, you could build a charting tool that ONLY shows the coins that made NO gains and NO losses for the day and call the tool "stablecoin of the day" and present that in a funny looking webpage.
Instead of building a tool that shows you ALL the liquidations of the day, you build a webapp that shows you only the BIGGEST liquidation of the day and call it "The Cemetary" and embed the data with caskets and skeletons on the page.
These both could have twitter bots that pull the data and post a tweet automatically with memetic imagery that lends itself to getting shared and retweeted, getting more distribution for your mini-app.
When you try and solve too many problems, people don't know what to do with your product.
If you solve for ONE thing REALLY well and do it in a FUNNY way, you can get LARGE distribution.
Look at any problem in crypto and solve a small part of it in a fun way.
This is a great way to build your experience in hacking together a product, and to get your reps up. Its powerful to show people "hey heres an app I made in a weekend that got 10k hits in a week"
To try and hit memetic waves, you can:
- Look at WHERE crypto people are focusing
- The REFERENCES they use
- The growth potential of that niche
- What problems that niche is facing
- What information could be helpful to the niche
E.G - People are spending time on pump.fun and they complain about 'cabal coins' and inside buyers.
Idea: Do automated checking of fast growing coins and wallet concentrations then create a twitter bot/webapp that's called "cabal checker" where it gives a "cabal check" to a coin that has a low concentration of holders.
Tip: You don't have to provide objective truth with these apps. It's like an online horoscope where its about the entertainment and virality rather than providing facts.
These kinds of apps have been around forever since before facebook days. People love doing mini-tests and getting answers they can share.
E.G create a set of 10 questions about the user and call the test "which blockchain are you" and make up personality traits of each blockchain which gives the user a funny answer they can tweet.
These are all lowly ideas for the sake of explanation. There are better ideas out there, but the POINT IS: Crypto twitter has tens of thousands of highly engaged people looking to participate in any fun they can have. Be the fun you want to see in the world.

Be the fun you want to see in the world! Great writing Bill!
